Preparing for the ISDN Switch Off
BT announced back in 2015 that they will shut off their ISDN and PSTN services completely in 2025. Neither of these technologies can deliver the volume or quality of voice data needed in this increasingly digital world. Voice calls in the future will be made over the internet.
In practice, the switch off PSTN & ISDN services means that traditional telephone systems will cease to function.
If you do not already have an internet telephone solution you must ensure your business has made the transition before the switch off. When transitioning to a compatible telephone system, generally there are two options; Cloud Hosted PBX or On-Site PBX.
